7: Lubrication Areas on the Microrouter

The following items should be lubricated daily, using a silicone

based aerosol spray (DO NOT use light machine oil for this

purpose):

• All sliderails (as listed on the previous page).

• All leadscrews (as listed on the previous page).

The photo below labels each area which requires lubrication or

cleaning. Please note that items requiring attention are encased in the

machine cabinet. For illustration purposes, the photo shows a view of

the working area without the machine cabinet.

Microrouter thrust bearings are sealed units that require no additional lubrication by

the user.

The silicone lubricant

aerosol is extremely

flammable. Never use

the silicone lubricant

aerosol near a naked

flame, on any other

machine, or for any

other purpose.

Carefully read and

follow any instructions

or notices included

with the aerosol. Wear

safety glasses and a

suitable respiratory

mask when using the

aerosol.
